We share our passion for design – YouRail design contest
One of our key commitments is to make our trains ever more passenger-friendly. With rail being the world's most environmentally-friendly mode of transport, we have also put design at the heart of our product development, in order to create comfortable trains, that offer all the luxury of modern travel.

We decided to share our passion for design, by creating the "YouRail – visions of modern transportation" contest. YouRail called on consumers to unleash their creativity and encouraged open innovation to everybody.

Chris Antonopoulos, Vice President Sales Bombardier Transportation, and member of the YouRail jury, emphasizes: "We are the first rail technology company to create an online innovation community. It helps us to anticipate end-user needs, to identify trends and lead users."

The competition to create new and innovative interior designs was a roaring success. It even had to be extended by ten weeks due to the overwhelming involvement of participants from over 100 countries. More than 2,000 members generated over 4,200 spectacular train designs ranging from offbeat ideas to extremely clever ideas.
